Data Deposit Box™ Product Overview
Data Deposit Box™ is a comprehensive online PC backup solution enabling everyday PC users to easily backup, restore, and share information online.
- Data Deposit Box™ is designed to be used by non-technical people. The backup
software is easy to install and runs invisibly in the background.
- The program automatically selects the most popular folders such as: Desktop;
Favorites; My Documents; and Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. The user
can then add any additional folders they wish to back up.
- The backup software is initiated when Windows starts-up and is fully automatic.
Since the user does not have to initiate the backup process, the possibility of
forgetting to backup is eliminated.
- The program continuously monitors the selected folders looking for changes.
Whenever a change is detected, the changed data is extracted, compressed,
encrypted, and then securely transferred to one of our remote servers. The
continuous backup service ensures that files are always protected.
- The backup keeps multiple versions of each file. This means that a user can
recover previous versions of files even if changes have been saved and backed
up again.
- Backups only happen when the computer is idle. The software automatically
pauses when the user is typing or moving the mouse. This means that there is
no reduction in PC performance during the user’s daily activities.
- Data Deposit Box™ enables rapid restoration of files following virus damage,
user error, or lost or stolen computers. Within moments, a user can select a file
and have it restored back to their PC.
- Users also have the ability to access their files remotely using a web browser.
By logging into a secure web site, users can search for, select, and download
files from any PC.
- Users can also share selected files online with friends or co-workers. Files are
shared as clickable web links that are emailed to others. This is particularly
useful when sending large file attachments to people with limited inbox space.
For example, multimedia presentations or large digital photo files.
