Data Deposit Box™ is a comprehensive online backup service developed upon two guiding principles: make it simple for users by making it smarter than any other solution.

Our backup service enables everyday PC computer users to easily backup, restore, access, and share their online backup data. The core of our service is our patented Continuous Backup™ system, which allows us to continuously monitor selected folders, looking for changes. When a change is detected, it is immediately extracted, compressed, encrypted, and then securely transferred to our secure online backup data center.

The initial software for Data Deposit Box was created by Tim Jewell and Rob Schenkel. Our extensible platform was designed using data management and information security best practices coupled with proven industry leading technology.

In 2002, Tim and Rob joined with Jamie Brenzel to form Acpana Business Systems Inc. In 2003, they launched Data Deposit Box to the public. And, while others have joined this category, the Continuous Backup upon which we built Data Deposit Box continues to be the benefit that separates us from ‘scheduled’ backup offerings. And our simple, low pricing has been very attractive to both individuals and companies in search of a simple, smart backup solution.
