If you pick up the phone and stop typing, our backup engine will resume and continue to process your backups. As soon as you start typing again, we will pause again. Our engine can stop and start as often as necessary. It simply continues where it left off. No work is lost. Phone calls; meetings; even a short trip to the coffee maker; all create opportunities to perform your backup.

Bandwidth & Resource Throttle

Data Deposit Box includes the ability to limit the amount of bandwidth the backup can use. This is critical in a small office environment where several PCs share an Internet connection.

Internet backup services can easily saturate an Internet connection. If one user is running a backup, the web surfing and email of the other users can grind to a halt. Video conferencing and voice over IP telephony technology are very sensitive to this. This is why other backup providers schedule their backups to happen at night.
