Jamie has a track record of successfully building businesses. He brings over 15 years of experience in investment banking and entrepreneurial startups to his role overseeing corporate structure and development as CEO of Acpana.
As a VP in the Transactional Finance Group at Salomon Brothers in London, U.K, during the early 90s, Jamie helped build the equity derivatives department into an important profit centre. The department grew from five to 20 over a few short years.
He returned to Toronto to embark on his future as an entrepreneur and acquired Wood Printing & Graphics, helping the company expand and make the transition into the digital age. In August of 2000, he successfully merged Wood with the Ideal Printing Company.
Jamie then went on to co-found Sonar Group, an integrated marketing communications company, he developed relationships with companies such as CIBC, AIM and Purolator, which formed the start of a diverse portfolio of blue-chip clients. ICE Communications, the design and interactive arm of Sonar Group, consulted on the direction of Acpana as an external marketing partner.
Jamie established a solid foundation for Edeal Services Corp., a leading provider of auction technology to clients such as The Coca-Cola Company, Loblaws and the NHL, in his capacity as President. He created a sound structure for the company's foundation and devised a blueprint for its sustained future growth. Recently, Edeal received funding from JLA Ventures.
Jamie holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario.
